What is The Energy Alignment Method - EAM?
EAM® is a quick and simple transformational five-step self-help technique you can use to release resistant or negative energy, thoughts and emotions, then reprogram yourself to create a flow state around anything you face in life.
The Energy Alignment Method is more than just a healing technique; it is a way of life. Using this tool, you can very quickly let go of repetitive thoughts and overwhelming emotions. You can also use it to help clear physical and emotional pain.
Its foundation can be found in elements of Kinesiology, neuroscience research, NLP, Positive Psychology and Eastern Spiritual principles. It was created by Yvette Taylor as a self-help technique after years of working in energy medicine, the Law of Attraction, and traditional Chinese Medicine.
Using a form of Applied Kinesiology, known in EAM as “THE SWAY”, you use your body as a pendulum to find the root cause of your issues and release negative feelings, painful memories, and traumatic experiences.
You can use EAM to free you from stress, anxiety, and feelings of overwhelm around any issue in your life.
Once these are removed from your energy you are free to replace them with positive thoughts and emotions that will propel you forward in a life that you choose to create.
EAM quick guide
EAM works on the principle that everything is energy and when we are in a FLOW state our energy is naturally moving forward and we are in alignment. When we are in RESISTANCE there is something in our energy that is moving against this forward movement and causing friction. When we have an ENERGY REVERSAL our energy is moving in the opposite direction. We can explore this in our energy using the SWAY.
the ‘sway’ & how to do it
The sway is a form of applied kinesiology where you use your body as a pendulum to provide a yes or no response to questions that you ask of your energy field.
You may find that when you first try the ‘SWAY’ that your body is unresponsive. There could be a number of reasons for this, but you should find it gets easier and more powerful over time and with practice.
Keeping your knees soft and your arms by your side, stand with your feet hip width apart. You may find it easier to close your eyes. Ask yourself a question that you know has a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer and notice your body move, you may feel a slight movement forward from your stomach or your chest. I often simply ask “show me my yes” as I would when using a dowsing pendulum and then “show me my no” to show me a negative response.
If you find that your body is not moving
One of the most common reasons that people struggle with their sway is that they are dehydrated. You can gently rub or tap on your kidneys then say the statement ‘I am hydrated’. If you get a ‘no’ response, have a drink of water and try again.

Once you have established your SWAY, you can ask any question that you want. Please remember that it is not a predictive tool and it can’t tell you things like this week’s lottery numbers. You can get confirmation by stating, for example “this is in my highest good” and observing a yes or no response. Be aware that the answer you are get is in response to what is in your energy at that moment in time.
You may find that you yawn during the releasing statements, you might find that your stomach gurgles or rumbles, that you burp or break wind, your nose may run. You might find that you get hot or cold or that you feel dizzy. All of these symptoms are perfectly normal and are signs that your energy is moving. If you feel uncomfortable then take a break, do a step 5 to bring your energy back up, allow yourself to be centred and grounded.
e.g. ‘I am centred and grounded, I allow this into my energy in all forms, on all levels and at all point in time.’
Have a drink of water, take a walk outside or have something to eat.
After a session you may go into what is known as a ‘healing phase’. You may experience this as extreme tiredness or flu like symptoms, or you might find that you need to go to the toilet more often than usual. You can use the 5 Steps of EAM to help transform some of the symptoms. You may find that you don’t experience any symptoms at all.

STEP 1: ASK
This step is to give you clarity on what you need to shift. Ask your energy a simple question to see if it’s something you need to work on. For example, ‘Am I holding any resistance or worry when I think about making more money?’.
STEP 2: MOVE
Your energy body will respond and give you the ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer to the question you asked. Forward is usually ‘yes’ and backward usually ‘no’. If you sway another way, check for energy reversals.
STEP 3: EXPERIENCE
This step is all about assessing what’s happening in your energy when you think about that subject. You can perform this step in multiple ways. Choose which is appropriate for you.
- What happens to your energy? Describe the size/colour/shape/location, etc.
- How many of something do you have? Use the sway to identify the number.
- Which emotions do you feel?
- Explore clarifying questions. Ask further questions to get more detail.
- What do you see in your mind’s eye? Describe the visual picture.
STEP 4: TRANSFORM
Prepare and say your statement, ‘I AM ready to release (whatever the subject). I release it from my energy in all forms, on all levels, and at all points in time.’ Repeat this at least three times or until you can no longer feel the resistant energy. Remember to check it has released by asking your sway before moving to step 5.
STEP 5: MANIFEST
Prepare and say your statement, ‘I AM ready to allow/receive/experience/think/feel (whatever the subject). I allow this into my energy in all forms, on all levels, at all points in time.’ Repeat three times or more until you can feel that your energy is in alignment, and you sway forward.
